Very action packed!

This book was so full of action and suspense. I cannot wait for book five to come out. All the characters have grown by leaps and bounds since the first book in the series.

I thought the first three books were 4-5 stars, this one I give three. I thought it was drawn out and didnt progress fast enough. I, like someone else mentioned, I skipped a few chapters and didn't really miss any details of the store. I like eliera character, hope to see her and rails relationship progress.

Engaging and informative story of the ecosystem science

This book was used as the primary text in a graduate Ecosystems course I took. It is clearly written so that I - without ever taking an introductory biology course and having primarily a mathematical background - had no problem understanding the main ideas. What I found even more appealing is that Hagen places the development of these ideas in their historic context and skilfully links them to the authors and their characters. This has been invaluable to me for understanding how research is done in biology, where no consensus on a basic conceptual definition (what is an ecosystem?) can linger for decades. (This is very different from mathematics, which enjoys a luxury of not concerning itself with the messiness of the real world, and can afford to build theories based on absolutely clear and unambiguous definitions).
Reading this book, along with in-class dissection and discussions of classical papers that Hagen covers, resulted in very interesting, informative and enriching experience.

I was assigned this book as reading for my qualifying exams. As a graduate student in ecology I found this book to give a very interesting view of the historical perspective of ecosystem ecology. It was easy to read and I very much enjoyed it despite the fact that I was forced to read it. Plus it helped me get a few questions right during my exams. I definately reccomend to anyone interested in ecology.

Highly Recommend

There are a few mug cake cookbooks on the market right now. The reason I chose this one was because the recipes were simpler than others (no butter or eggs). I tried the chocolate mug cake in the book preview and it was delicious! It tasted more like a brownie than a chocolate cake but tasty nonetheless. Since I don't like my cakes too sweet, I modified the recipe simply by adding less chocolate.

If you go on Kirbie's Cravings (author's blog), you can check out a bunch of her other mug cake recipes if you're still on the fence about purchasing this. Lots of easy recipes with pretty pictures; I spent hours sifting through her posts! I can tell the author has put a lot of thought into creating the recipes for both her blog and this cookbook so I'm always happy to support such commitment.

The book is flexibound so it's paperback, but it's of very high quality. The flexibound also means that you can lay the book down flat and refer back to it when you're baking. The pages are colorful and include lots of high resolution photos. I can't wait to start making more mug cakes, especially the savory ones!

They aren't perfect, but they are very convenient.

For using only handful of ingredients (quite literally) and taking just a few minutes to make, these cakes are pretty good. I wouldn't say they were the best cakes, but they are just so convenient and I haven't had a bad one yet.

They tend to come out a little rubbery as compared to other cake, but are still very tasty. They also don't look like the photos and may not be appealing on their own, but some whip cream hides that well. I wouldn't plan on serving them at a dinner party unless you find a solution to the rubbery problem (different flour?) and you will spend more time topping one than making one. But once again: very convenient and they do taste good.

My wife likes them so much she ordered the book for one of her pregnant friends who also enjoys them.

This is a children's book with a poignant story about the atomic disaster in Nagasaki. I read this book to my children and I couldn't help to start crying in front of them. It is a great way to start a serious conversation with children about some horrible realities that happen in our world. My children didn't cry, but they asked a lot of questions.

"Dipak Patranabis is presently Professor Emeritus, Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Prior to that, he was Professor, Head, and then Emeritus Fellow at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in the Department of Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering, After he completed M.Sc (Tech.) from Calcutta University, Prof. Patranabis had a brief stint in teaching Physics. Then he joined Damodar Valley Corporation as an Electrical Engineer. Subsequently he was in Guest Keen Williams Limited, Howrah, as an Instrument Engineer for over four years only to return to teaching and research at Jadavpur University, taking charge of the newly formed and research at Jadavpur University, taking charge of the newly formed department of Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering. He obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Calcutta at the early period of his teaching and research career. Dr. Patranabis has authored over 150 research papers and six books in Instrumentation and Electronics. He has guided many Ph.D. scholars and is still active in research and teaching. He was the President of IIST for two years, edited Journal of IIST for six years, and was honorary editor of the Journal of IETE for two years for the Circuits and Systems group. He was also the summary editor for Springer-Verlag for over 7 years and is a reviewer of research papers of many international and national-level research journals. He has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for Automations (ISA) USA."

Great tool for OT's working in the school system

This book is very user friendly with reproduceable worksheets and easy to follow directions. It is categorized and has information for parent instruction that is easily understood. Best tool I have purchased in recent years to teach handwriting skills.

his is the first kids picture book I've reviewed.
I normally stick to my adult genres, but this books was so great that
I had to share with you guys!

The Wonderful Story of Electricity by A.J Neeson is one of those books!

I loved the originality, the rhythmic prose, and curious facts, which were as compelling for me as they were for my 8yr old! This is a whimsical little read that lends itself to some fun rhyming,
a clever way to ensure your child is learning lots without even realizing it!
